Our Rule comprises daily and weekly habits designed to help us incorporate rhythms that can transform our frazzled days into lives of love for God and neighbour.

Our Rule Of Life

1.

Start your day with devotion.

Scripture and prayer tutor our hearts to depend on God
from the start of each day.

2.

Choose simple living.

The practice of simplicity is to express a desire for attachment to God above things.
Do an audit of what you can and cannot do without.
Ask yourself “Is this essential?” before buying something.

3.

Fast Regularly.

Times of uncertainty teach us to lean in to God. Fasting can lead us to experience His presence, provision and power all the more. Read more here. Decide when you will fast weekly or on a regular basis.

4.

Pray for others with others.

We pray with our LifeGroups, and also pray corporately in SEEK FIRST (our prayer initiatives). For more details on SEEK FIRST and individual prayer, look here.

5.

Establish relational touchpoints.

We were designed for relational health with others.
Make it a point to establish regular check-ins with your family, neighbours, friends, LifeGroup buddies, etc.

6.

Stay engaged with us.

Digital connection is important, but embodied presence is how we best express and are formed as God’s people, through community life and discipleship. Participate meaningfully and consistently in your LifeGroup. Track with City happenings via Telegram and Facebook

7.

Keep the Sabbath.

With new challenges in home and work life, be sure to keep one day a week as a day of rest and worship.
Also build pockets of silence and solitude into your daily routine.

8.

Limit screen time and news intake.

With so much that’s going on, it can be easy to over-indulge in social media, entertainment and news. Regulate your intake, for example setting two timed windows per day. See a list of input we recommend.

9.

Prioritise Sunday service.

Coming together for service is to help us navigate our daily lives, nourish our spiritual rhythms and shape us as God’s people. We value assembling as a church to embody and experience life together. Make this our collective priority every Sunday.
Join us on Sundays, 10am.

10.

Practise generosity.

Seek out avenues you and your family, and/or LifeGroup can give aid to vulnerable persons or groups.
