What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring life’s questions through the context of the Christian faith.
Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to facilitate deep and honest conversation. Usually done around a table with food and people, anyone is welcome to the Alpha course regardless of worldview, background or opinion.

What can I expect?
First there is Food,
—(or maybe not in this COVID season)
Most sessions start with food, because it is a great way to build community and get to know each other. Whether it is a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick catch up over coffee and cake, food has a way of bringing people together. It is no different at Alpha. Make space for some supper after!
Then… there is a Film,
An episode of the alpha series will be played. The episodes unpack the basics of the Christian faith, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus?, How can we have faith? and How does God guide us?
Followed by a Discussion.
Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group.
There is no obligation to say anything and there is nothing you cannot say (seriously). It is an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
