In August 2022, we felt the call of God to invite the church to a season of envisioning the next chapter of The City Story together.
This birthed the “Build This City” campaign.
Build This City is our giving campaign to raise $850,000 for the growing needs of our church and the pursuit of our missional call.

Needs of a Growing Church — We have seen The City grow in the past 2 years beyond our financial and pastoral resources. Our current capacities can no longer accommodate growth in both the main service as well as GUSH Kids. We desire to restore healthy budgets to our missions and ministry endeavours.
Participation Of A United Church — Everyone who calls The City home is a necessary part of the Body. We sense this moment is a unique opportunity for our community to mature; that we will grow to embrace personal sacrifice in collective participation of God’s call.
Calling Of A Missional Church — We want to walk in greater fulfillment of our call as a missional church: To help all people be like Jesus, become like Jesus and do the works of Jesus in our city. Moving closer to our local communities will give us an opportunity to be closer to the ground, and better understand and support the social needs in our society. We envision a space intentionally designed for the church to go beyond its four walls and welcome all people through its doors.

We invited those who called The City home to prayerfully commit to pledging an amount that will aims to (a) reinstate healthy budgets to our operations and ministries; and (b) to fund a one-time move to a new location.
Our first round of our pledging exercise took place in the month of October and concluded on 30 October 2022.

The City Story
The City Story was displayed from 02 - 16 October ‘22 as an invitation to reflect on our past chapters, and to gather in a participative way our collective hearing of God’s call for our next chapter.
We thank everyone who took the time to walk through the exhibition and interacted with the various installations.
